Garlic And Rosemary Pulled Lamb Burgers

Garlic and Rosemary Pulled Lamb Burgers. Not your average burger, but minimal effort required! A whole lamb shoulder is cooked low and slow so that when you’re ready to eat, it falls apart with the touch of a fork.

 

Serves:

Prep: 15 minutes
Cooking: 3 1/2 hours – 5 hours  
Total: 3 1/2 hours – 5 hours

INGREDIENTS


1 lamb shoulder approx 1.5kg bone in
2 onions quartered
3 tbsp olive oil
3 garlic cloves crushed
Juice and zest of 1 Lemon
100ml white wine
I tbsp chopped Rosemary leaves
1 tsp chopped Thyme leaves
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground coriander

Combine all the marinade ingredients in a bowl.

Roughly chop the onions and place in the bottom of an oven proof casserole dish or tray.

Put the lamb on top. Pour over half the marinade, turn the lamb over and pour over the other half.

Put in an oven at 150, 130 fan for a minimum of 3 1/2 hours, up to 5 hours.

Lift out the lamb and spoon out the onions. Pour the juices into a separating jug.

Pull the lamb apart using forks. Load into burger buns, drizzle over some juices, add some of the onions and some salad.

Alternatively serve with a potato of your choice.
